"This partnership bridges the gap between education and industry by bringing Tenaris professionals directly into our classrooms to share their expertise and provide hands-on learning experiences,” said ANC Dean for Secondary Programs Michael Graham. “Students gain insight into real-world applications of their studies, a deeper understanding of Tenaris's innovative products, and the professional standards expected in today's workforce. This collaboration not only enhances their education but also prepares them for successful careers. We are grateful for Tenaris’s commitment to investing in the future of our students.” The program complements the technical coursework the approximate 300 high schoolers are taking at ANC with a soft skills focus on teamwork, problem solving and project management. Tenaris employees across various functions – operations, maintenance, health, safety and environment, HR and community relations - lead a different activity during the once a month session, such as having teams compete by creating structures with limited supplies and required parameters as well as participation in Q&A panel sessions with Tenaris employees. “This is an excellent opportunity for students to speak to our experts, learn more about Tenaris and what it’s like to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, and understand how their technical training can lead to career opportunities in the industrial sector,” said Tracey Ritchey, community relations and regulatory affairs manager at Tenaris in Hickman. “The students are participating in hands-on activities that strengthen teambuilding and where mid-activity, we introduce changes to their group challenge, encouraging the students to talk, think critically and brainstorm solutions. In the real-world, plans, projects, team members change, and one has to be able to adapt and react. These are lifelong values.”
Tenaris Tuesdays at ANC wrapped up its fall semester December 10th and plans to restart sessions in the spring 2025.
